I have decided to get rid of my kribensis from my 70 litre fish tank and I would like to know what could be a centre piece for the tank. I really like cichlids and want some that are very easy to breed.
My water parameters are
Ph. 7.4-7.6
Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrate 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Hardness 12d
Carbonate hardness 6d
Chlorine 0

The tank mates are
7 rummy nose tetra

Thanks from Tom

i would recommend mollies (though not a cichlid). They are extremely easy to breed and should do great with your tank size and the tetras. If your really set on cichlids, you could try Blue Rams.

Haven't you got the Honey gourami that was being bullied in with the rummies?

I have had mollies before and although they are easy to breed they are not colourful enough and I want something that lays eggs rather than a live bearer and the honey gourami sorted themselves out and the males have become friends now and they get on fine from Tom

How about Pearl Gourami?

70 litres is waaay too small for a Pearl Gourami. I personally don't think 70 litres is enough for a true centerpiece fish, if I were you I'd just add another shoaling species.

I'm really looking for a type of cichlid from Tom

I could not get the link to work but I like fish like apistogramma, kribensis and rams. Something colourful but not to big either from Tom

I have taken my old kribensis back to the lfs but they put me In a bad position as they only gave me three options
Option 1 keep the kribensis that are fighting
Option 2 they have the kribensis and give me nothing
Option 3 a swap they take my kribensis and I get a new pair

I chose option 3 as it was beneficial for both party's and I'm very glad of my choice, I chose a male and female that were already paired up and in breeding colours. I know some of you might not like the fact that I have kribensis again but it's a risk I'm willing to take and if I need to get a bigger tank or get rid of them I would. Also looking online some websites say you only need a 40 litre and I know this is too small but I think a 70 litre is fine for them. I'm sure I will have lots of questions about what they are doing and how I can make sure there eggs survive from Tom
