im unsure  about what fish to get i want 5 peppered corrys 5 dwarf corrys and a common plec its a 15 gal tank with sand substrate and a rena power filter i think :dunno: would these fish be okay in the tank

the words 'common plec' and '15gal' should never happen in the same breath

commons will get to 12-18" a 15gal (our one anyway) would be too small for the poor thing to turn around in.

I'd go for a bristle nose in there - 4-6" max ;)

thats also a lot of bottom dwellers - make sure you feed a lot of sinking food so everyone gets some - and get a good filter ;)

thanks about that so a bristle nose it is then im stocking it this weekend and its got a good filter in it already so thanks again
and its gonna be really well planted

I wouldnt put any plec in there.

Stick to dwarf catfish like ottos to combat algae. The ABSOLUTE minimum for any plec should be 20 gallons. As for a common plec, well you obviously haven't done ANY research at all otherwise within 2 minutes you would know that they can easily reach 14" and aren't suited for anything under 40 gallons at all.

The 5 peppered and 5 dwarf corys would be fine. Get 3 otto catfish and you will be sorted. You could then maybe have a group of tetras or some other group of shoaling fish to fill up the rest of the tank.
