Well I have been thinking about having 4 female bettas in my tank for a week now..
And finally found 2 more to fill it!

Heres the two I had before:

I got this girl off Netty and Bronzecat

I got this one from Pets at Home, about 2 weeks ago:

And today I got these two, there were 3 males and about 8 girls. I originally went to get a male, but as they only have a VT and two combtails, I decided not to, as I want something better to breed with the first girl

I don't mind female VT's, as the tails are shorter so look a bit neater.

Anyway, heres the first girl I got today:

And heres the second girl:

They all get along fine, but I thought there would be a problem with the first and second bettas. The second one is less than half the size of the rest, but she sure does stick up for herself!

Oh I also got the blue rock today :D looks better in the tank than it did on the shelf :hey:

I know the red girl has a bit of damage, thats from the shop. There was about 6-8 females crammed into what looked like a 35 litre tank, along with some other fish. They were all healthy, just torn up

I look forward to her repair, as she is a very nice colour!

heres a group shot:

Nice girlies Jamie :good: :good:

The 1st new girlie would go well with a cambo FT (which we have  )
The 2nd new girlie, although obviously a bit fin nipped, looks like she may have either a bit of comb or crown in her?? Maybe :good:

yeah probably :) cant wait for the damage to go.. just hope there are no fights

i dont really mind what tail types these are, they look really nice (IMO)

they all look lovely. Maybe your planning to do this but if not then i'd put alot more plants in so they can hide if necessary and ornaments with hidy holes. If there is any trouble they can at least get out of the way. Lots of luck with it :)

Exactly my thoughts...more hiding places! That way if one does happen to decide to get nippy, there's a place of refuge in the tank. Otherwise they look great!

yeah i was looking for some silk plants, but the shop i went to only had rubbish ones.

i have some ornaments i can throw in (not literally) with some hidy holes if i need to

but they lasted the night without any damage :D

Hi
They could start fighting at any time :good: Once one decides she wants to be top fish

there all such pretty girls, but as bronze said could start fighting at any time, my 4 girls were siblings and were fine for a few months then the smallest one killed the other 3 within a day or two

How do they find the filter? Im in the process of cycling a tank ready for a betta, and have the same filter.

depends what size the tank is and what filter it is.. there are 3 versions of this filter, the 5, 10 and 15.

In this tank I have a "10" and its good. if they swim over the top of it blowing out, its their choice.. the tank is 30L so its big enough for them to swim away from it.

I had a 15L with the "5" and one betta (the first girl) and there were no problems

if you turn the blue thing on top so the water blows onto the side of the tank

Gorgeous new girls Jamie  I love cambos.....probably my favourites :good:

Well mines a 60 litre tank and I have the 15. It seems really strong, all of the plants are blowing about.

face the current so it blows the glass ..

thanks netty :) I also realised i like them too, now i have one :p

they are still all doing fine.. maybe i wont need this spare tank now :)
need a male to fill it with :p
