I Harth Darth
So yesterday I headed out to WalMart to pick up some embroidery floss, and an SD memory card for my new digi. Weird, but I'm a hockey girlfriend, and my boyfriend had a game last night, so I was going to embroider their logo onto my shirt and wear black and green and be all pathetically into the game.
And I'm not the only one who does this.
I went through the craft section and found the right colour green I needed, and then discovered they didn't have the right memory card I needed. So, to kill some time til I went over to Staples to get it, I wandered through the pet section.
As usual, there were some not-so-fantastic conditions in the tanks, but their bettas, well.. the usual filth was in their cups.
Since my two crowntail boys died before I moved to the falls [I let my Nana clean their bowls. She used soap and did not rinse well.
] I was looking for some boys to put in my betta tanks. I started looking through them and was amazed by what I found! I grabbed my two favourites and had someone hang on to them for me, ran over to Staples to buy my memory card [I didn't want to go in there with fish
That would've been fun to explain!], and when I came back I tracked down a pet associate. I insisted that she change their water immediately and put them into bags with more clean water, and then I went and checked the rest of the boys. I had her clean their cups as well, and we found a dead one in the process. That was not fun.
Once my boys were all clean and ready to go I paid for them and loaded them into my backpack so they could enjoy the bike ride home. That's right. Bike.
These are probably the only two bettas who have been on a bike!
So now, after my long story, I would like to introduce you to Pegasus and Anubis, my gorgeous new boys!
This is Pegasus. He's in a WalMart 1g fishbowl, hence the slightly rippled appearance to the pictures. The glass isn't exactly the smoothest.
He's so cute!
And then this is Anubis. He's a bit shy, and doesn't really like posing for the camera. He also seems to breathe really heavily, but I think he's getting used to clean water instead of dirty, so that might be causing it.
I love Anubis' colouring.. he's just absolutely gorgeous!
And that's it for now.. I just wanted to share.

Beautiful boys, both of them
I'm not too sure how to take that statement, but whatever.
