New Betta!

I had a five gallon tank I was about to take down. And then changed my mind and cleaned it and kept it up. And today decided to get a betta.
All the bright colored ones were looking a little on the sick and dying side... So I got the healthiest looking one they had. He is like a dull khaki color. But when I got him home, I'm really digging his look. He has a blue tint. And the end of his fins are lined with a dark blue.
Should I name him khaki?

I don't think he is cellophane. He's pretty much in his own catergory. Lol.

If you like the name Khaki then go for it - he has a bronze lovely colour - great find!

Yeah. He is veil tale as far as I can tell. I'm not a betta expert by far! Lol.

Do you think he is bored? Its just a five gallon tank... But he looks tiny in there by himself... I did put a floating ball in there with him. I had read somewhere that they will push it around! Maybe I should get him a frog? Lol.

Instead of getting him a tank mate I would add some decor like driftwood, caves to explore, taller plants to swim through, some wide leafed plants for him to rest on. Now and then rearrange his tank to stimulate him and make it more interesting to look at for you as well.
