New Betta

hi all i recently got a new betta (or should i say my girlfriend did ) in replacement for our last one that had to be put down , this one is alot younger than the last and seems a good bit more boisterous.lol. I was wondering what breed of betta he is as i havent a clue thanks.

Yes, looks like a veiltail, but ive seen some VT's that look like a spade.. Careful, I see some fin rot in the first pic.... Got any pics of the tank? =]

A gorgeous colour hon, I concur with llamalord. There is black edging to his tail fin which could be fin rot, I would keep an eye on x

That is a spadetail, where did you get him from?!
They're quite rare.

Thats a Veil tail - spade tail has a spade shaped end like the card suite spades

thats a Veiltail with slight ammonia burns(the black edging). make sure to keep his water nice and clean and it will heal up in no time.
hes purdy!!! im a softie for the red boys and VTs are my personal fave.

hey thanks for the comments everyone. yip i noticed the black patches on the fins ill be keeping a close eye on him, thats a bad pic i posted of him flaring ill try and get another showing the full tail, it looks very similar to the one pippoodle posted.

dont think he likes me very much, when i go close to the tank he just flares at me but gets on well with the fish in the tank.
