Also, I have a fluval plus filter which just jets water out through one pipe. Will tis be OK for a betta, seems to hang raound in the stiller pat of the tank. Also, seems to stick along the side of the glass a lot.
Was thinking there may be an attachment I can add to the filter. Doesn't see to bother the Harlies tho.

yes that is a male males have long fins unless its a pk. the current will be a bit strong for him they dont like currents could you point the filter towards the glas so it dosent take up all the tank that or get a sponge fillter

Thanks for that. I have the filter pointing at the glass and it's turned right down. Nice current running through the tank whihc is good for cleaning. I'll see if I can changed it so there are more outlets, or try one of thos air drivel sponge filters.

Cheers.

you could add a bit of tube to the filter outlet , seal one end and turn it into a spray bar - by making holes in the tube

gravel vac tube fits perfectly

Thanks for the advice.

Tank is 2 foot long, 1 wide and 1 high.

I have just ordered a spray bar for £4 off ebay. I'll give that a try and see how it goes.
