Hiya guys.
I'm fairly new to this fish owning thing, at the age of 6 I "owned" my first betta, but really it was dads as he looked after it and bought food for it and did everything for it really.
But today I officially own my first betta.
I took water and filter media from my parets tank, so no filter cycling needed.
He is in a 4 gallon tank with filter but no light, is this an issue?? Also it is not heated, room temp is about 24C so do I need a heater???
At the moment I use the same food as the parents use in the community tank, Tetra Fin or Tetra Flake or something like that. Will this do or can you guys recomend me a better food???
Also I want to get him a couple of tank mates.
I'm thinking a couple of Armano Shrimp, my first choice would be Pygmy Corrys but the tank is a bit small for a shoal of Corrys.
So thanks in advance for any help given.
Heres the obligatory picture
BTW He's no that green in real life that must be the doing of my flash, he is actually a pleasant pale white colour.
