Okay so my sister fell in love with my little white boy I bought from walmart (Pegasus) and her birthday is coming up next week so I told her she could have him. So we all rushed out to petsmart and looked for aquariums. They didn't have anything she really liked so we went to the walmart that carries live fish.  She picked out a 10 gallon set-up. She wanted something like a 5 gallon, but for the same price she could get a 10 gallon with everything included. So she ended up picking out the 10 gallon kit. (First tank I ever had  and look at me now ;) )

So we went to the craft section as she wanted a "magical" looking tank and picked up some clear marbles and some clear and light blue stones. They were beautiful! She also picked up a small bag of aqua-green gravel.

Then after we got the tank and substrate, she was still looking for the "perfect" decorations. So we went BACK to petsmart and we still didn't find anything there. So we went to pet Supermarket (they had pure white female bettas  but I had no money and didn't want to add her to my 120 gallon risking her not getting along with the other 12 pigs. :p ) and she found this really mystical looking dragon holding a pearl which matched the green gravel and the white stones perfectly. And then two pearl white plastic plants. The dragon has pink and purple on him too so she is going to get some smaller pink and purple plants to match with the dragon.

I added mr. pegasus lastnight and even though the tank has a current he looks like he is having a great time in the 10 gallon. We plan on tying a black nylon stocking around the filter intake tube to lesten the current, but he seems fine how the current is now. He has plenty of places to rest and get away from it. But we will be monitoring him for the next few weeks. :D

So...since it is a pretty big tank and looks kind of empty for a 10 gallon with just a betta, what could she add to the tank?

I was thinking some albino cories. They could be Pegasus's minions. :p

Im pretty sure cories would be fine i have two in each of my bettas tank and they seem to get along fine the cories are best in groups of at least three and eat sinking pellets, bloodworms, and other worms i dont see why not.

yea, she'll probably get 5 or 6 albino cories.

An ADF or two would probably go pretty well there, too. I've kept mine with Bettas and Cories. :)

ADF's are fun, and might go with the color scheme. Maybe a trio of white cloud mountain minnows would be good in there too.

Nix the trio. White Clouds should be kept in groups of 5-6 or more. :) Cute species, though, and tend to do well with anything that isn't big enough to eat them.

Sorry. SOmeone told me they could be kept in trios. The tank should still be big enough for 5 white mountain minnows though, right? 10 gallons is a lot of room, and those fish don't get that big.

The White Clouds are only about an inch long and aren't messy fish. There would be room if that route were to be pursued. :)

Where are the pics, woman?!

Another conversion completed.
Nice work.
I just got new batteries for my camera so once I clean my room, I'll take some pics of all my new tanks. :hyper: And my new ghost shrimp.
