New betta! :D

You guys are a very bad influence. And I love it!

I have just lost my long battle with multiple betta syndrome and brought home my second betta, a lovely little girl with cambodian colouring and what I think may be crowntail finnage! She is currently acclimatising. She is tiny, about this long including fins:

She was the smallest, cutest and most personality-filled fish in the female betta tank. I'm going to wait for a few days to get to know her more before I name her, but at the moment I'm thinking either Pearl or Chloe.

I'm so excited!

Well, she's still acclimatising (the pH at the LFS was 8.2... mine is 7 so I don't want to rush) so I'll get a few pics once she is released. Probably tomorrow morning since I want to let her settle in a bit more and colour up.

Hmm... she was in a community tank at the LFS with about five other girls and I think she is now lonely. Is there anything I can do for her? I'd hate to have to return her.

My only other betta is a male, Jerry. Would it be stressful to put their tanks next to each other? You know, for company?

i dated a girl named Chloe. she was annoying an really short...

Well over the past few days she went downhill a bit.... clamped fins, not eating. But today she ate two HBH betta bites and kept them down. And she is trying to swim more, her pectorals are fluttering.

By the way, I decided on Pearl: she has coloured up more now and has this really nice irredescence to her so I think Pearl suits her.

Go ahead and let her see him. Mine stare at each other all day long, male/male female/male female/female, whatever. They eat fine, they're healthy, and they're never lacking for somebody to flare at or tease.

Just make sure she has somewhere in her tank that she can get away and not have to see him, and she should be fine.
