Ok i couldent resist getting this guy hews beautiful light blue.. well thats not the main point. I need to know if my guy would be ok with 3 tetras 1 molly and 3 female betas!!

never keep males and females together unless breeding. Tetras can annoy bettas by nipping their fins

Hurt/kill each other

Betta males are solitary; well, they can live with ghost shrimp/snails/ADF's...but no other fish

Females can be kept in small groups (for the most part)

Females can be kept in groups of 4 or more (other females). Males can not be kept with other male or female bettas. Bettas are nicknamed Siamese Fighting Fish because of their aggressiveness. Other tank mates are tricky and depend largely on your bettas temperament. And even then, what may seem like a perfect combo can end in tragedy.

ughh this is my first male betta i couldent leave him in the store in that tiny little bucket hes supposed to call home. RIght now hes in that container and filled with water from my very healthy established tank im debating on weather to let him out or now he seems very timid right now..

We've already told you not to let him out; even if he's timid now he can and will kill your females.

i Havent let him out. I figured if i put him in the tank in the container i bought him inand filled it with water with the same tank he would be ok until my new tank is ready for him
will only be about a day

Don't put him in with other fish for even a second

ok so it is ok that hes in the little box thing in the tank though right

lord spooky is now asking if what they have thier betta in is ok for a day or so til its tank is ready not if he can go in with the other fish.
yes your betta will be fine in there for the time being but the sooner you can get him into his new home the better.
even though it is highly unrecomended you can ocasionally keep a male in with other fish. if you do decide to put other fish in with him ever i recoment only trying cory cats, ottos, shrimp, or an adf. when mixing bettas watch for any signs of agression from both betta and tankmates, but with what i listed for you the agression would most likly be from your betta. if agression does start then be prepared to seperate everyone immediatly. another thing bettas have a tendancy to eat the shrimp people put in with them ocasionally.

Ohhh...lol

Yea, he'll be perfectly fine in the gallon fish bowl til tomorrow

You may want to put something over it so he doesn't jump out. Make sure it has holes in it so he can get fresh oxygen though :)

i must add,what a lovely betta

lol thank you everyone! I saw him in one of those little bowls at petco and was behind about 5 other female bettas and picked him up and just had to have him!
