I have to learn to leave my wallet at home when i go to lfs's.
oh, well, my two new babies are settling in nicely in their 4 gall lightly planted tanks, the little red guy has a nice solid bubblenest already! The red one has a little bit of steel blue irridescence across his body, and a black rim on the end of his caudal fin- quite pretty, but not a 'proper' opaque red i guess.....he is quite calm and unafraid, should make a lovely friendly little boy when he is fully settled.
the CT is very, very pretty.......
and fairly symmetrical too, which is nice. He's a bit more flighty than the red, flaring often (the other boys tanks are not within sight), and quite skittish when i approach the tank. He'll settle down eventually, i'm sure.
I will post photos of them when they are settled, in a few days, so i can show them a mirror to get a good pic of a flare without stressing them.
any suggestion for names? (am yet to name the other one i got a few weeks ago too- see pics of him in the 'funny little goblin' post.)
cheers, merry.
