New Arrivals

One of the reasons I got them (well was going for one  ) was because I know they can withstand aggression (can be aggressive) and would need to be, being in the tank with the vieja & texas (who whilst now are placid, wont always be that way). But as they were so cheap, I got a few, I can keep the nicest and sell on the rest as/if and when I need to. I just like geophagus species, very personable fish Ive found.

My male was identical to the one Dave posted, I had it until it was about 8-9", the only thing it would batter was my Hecklii, never bothered anything else, not even stuff of similar shape and appearances to Geos like Firemouths and Acaras.

But then the Firemouths and Acaras and Green Terror was in the tank first, the Hecklii was a late addition.

Still miss him actually, sadly all of the Brasiliensis available around here now are those horribly coloured 'Bahia red' versions and not the nice more standard blue/red with yellow fins types.

So Minxy...are you gonna stick with this lot? you are as bad as me for changing stuff around and stock! I have made a pct with myself that i will not change my stock now!

...Although i do want a wild Oscar....hmmm

I havent particularly changed much stock recently, since the frontosa incident, Ive just moved fish around to other tanks. I like the bahia reds, very pretty IMO once full grown.
