I have a 30 gallon aquarium and I was thinking to keep a community of AFrican cichlid. Does anyone have any recommendation of cichlids species?

I believe you'll need to keep only the smaller species, as most everything else will be too large. You may get away with a pair of convicts, but they'll breed a lot and then you'll have all the fry to deal with. Maybe a single convict and maybe some barbs of some sort? I may be wrong, so wait for someone else to reply, too.
You could try googling 'cichlid 30-gallon' and see what comes up.
