Yeah they are fine, well at least the marble is but the white ne seems to be developing finrot  . At least its pectoral fins look kinda ragged, but I don't know if this is the case with all VF angels. Should I treat? And how?

I'd treat with Melafix. There may be something else better suited for specifically treating finrot, but Melafix is a good kind of "cure all".

im using melafix right now to treat one of my angels. i think while u are treating it u need to moniter ur water levels. i checked mine yesterday which was the 2nd day of treatment n the ammonia level was 4.0 n the nitrite level was .50 so i called the lfs n they said to do a 50% water change n wait 24 hrs. good luck with ur angels n sry for ur loss. :flex:

Well my params are stable so I'm not too worried about that... but i really don't want to lose another angel.

Try keeping your quar tank at a little warmer temp. My angel tanks are 82 to 86F, & when treating a sick angel I'll kick up the temp to 90-92F. Higher temps seem to pull through the sickies quicker.

I just split up some fry from a batch in a 55, seperated some of the smaller ones out, and used a heater I won at a raffle (cheapie.) The temp after work today was a little too warm, 95F, so don't worry about overheating too much. I read angels can take temps of nearly 100, though I would never want to try it. Just make sure you have plenty of aeration, the higher the temp, the less O2 it can hold.

The thing is, high temperatures help the finrot to spread faster, so I'm not sure that would be the best solution. Anyway it is irrelevant because I took the dead one and the one with finrot back and they gave me two new beautiful, healthy ones. (I made absolutely sure this time).

Higher heat speed up their metabolisim, helping their immune system. Meds have always worked quicker with my angels when I kicked up the heat a bit.
