Hey,
Our lfs hasnt had angle's in since for ever! Well, they got some in the other day. I had to get them. They were only 5 dollars a piece!!!! I bought 2! Well, some in the tank did have excess Slime coat. Would that be disease? Or is it from stress. I bought a Koi and half Black with some Zebra Striping( what strain is that?). They were th efirst one's that ate when they fed them, so i figuerd that would be my best choice. I put them in my 30g, and the Big Albino Angel picked on them,a dn so did the tetra's. So i moved them to my 10g baby tank. Then i had the Ghost shrimp attack their Elongated Pectoral fin's( right wording). So i took out the shrimp. Now they are in their by themselves with the baby's. The ate today, but would all this str ess kill them? I did treat with Quick Cure as a Preventative, plus their were breathing heavily, so i thought Gill Flukes?

Wait a second... your angels aren't trying to eat the ghost shrimp? And the ghost shrimp and tetras are picking on them? Sounds like sickly or very stressed out angels to me. I'd give them a few more days to settle down, but something sounds off about them. Normally, angelfish attack and gobble down ghost shrimp. The heavy breathing could be water quality or stress. I wouldn't narrow it down to just gill flukes.

Find out where your shop gets their angels from. If they won't give you a name, ask them if it's this big dude, named Dennis, from Chicago. I have a feeling that I know where your angels are coming from, if I'm correct they are junk fish imported from overseas. What's the name of this shop? Also, what are your water parameters, and what is the name of your water supplier?

It's Superpet's. Most angel's are crap, as the orginal supplier, who gave them great Quality Angel's( which are Impossible to find) has stopped breeding them for the moment. I will defo ask them, but i cant call right now as im sick, and they will want to know what im doing out of school. All the angels in the tank were Half Black With Black barring. Only a few were Koi's. They are eating fine, but the fact that they wouldnt even mess with the shrimp? I did noptived today that the Healthier Angel( i think it's healthier) tried to eat a baby guppy. I wont be able to introduce the Angels in the BNig tank for Atleast a another month as the Big one can be Nasty at times. Also, those tera's wont give up when they see those fin's! Tolak, maybe you should drop a few angel's down here... Hint Hint. Also, what was the white stuff?

Thier from APET , they werent local bred specimen's, they were mass produced one's. That is probably why they looked sickley. Mine are doing pretty good. What size should i add them with my big angel?

I had to replace the Koi angel. I got another Half Black, as they having doing well. They seem fine w/ eachother. It is already eating.

I had to seperat ethem as the bigger one wasnt being too nice. One is with my feamle krib. The other is still in the smaller tank. They are still eaitng. *Finger's Crossed!*
