Hi guys, I recently bought five juvenile angels for my medium tank to join the two little bristlenoses, I'd wanted angels since I started the hobby but other than the bland 'heard it all before data' in books I don't really know that much about them.
From a successful hobbysists point of view, what foods do angels particularly like? Any suggestions for plants and decor? What is the best breeding age? What else can I do to keep them happy?
Any help would be great,
Thanks,
Jamie

Thankfully, angels are extremely resilient, eat pretty much most things and can tolerate a huge variety of water conditions. It's not surprising that they are very popular.
They tend to leave plants alone. Arrange your decor as to not make spaces in which they can become trapped or wedged. They are not the "sharpest tools in the box" and can damage themselves if surprised or frightened and can swim and wedge themselves in awkward places. Fin damage is the usual result.

Breeding from anywhere upwards of 2" body diameter.

Thanks for the reply :good: I've just tried them for the first time on frozen brine shrimp and they love it. I also heard they are quite weak swimmers but they seem to practically ignore something as powerful as a fluval 205. My angel tank may be my new favorite
