So i just joined today after seeing that live video of the guppy giving birth. Amazing stuff! I found lots of info here. You guys sound pretty experienced, so i figured i might as well join.
Well i upgraded from a 2gallon bowl to a 25gallon tank(lovingly donated by my b/f for our 1 yr anniversary) and im lovin' it! Who would've thought fish could be so addictive. So now its come to the point that i practically buy something with every paycheck to spoil them! I swear they eat like Queen Elizabeth, lol. They have their shrimp pellets, flakes, tubifex worms, algae disks and live plants they occansionally nip at.
In the tank are: 5 neon tetras, 4 glowlight tetras, 3 black neon tetras, 1 chinese algae eater, 1 white skirt tetra, 4 zebra danios, 4 rosey barbs, and 2 guppies(1 male and 1 female who is currently having more babies :D ). It's amazing how all these different breeds get along. You would never guess it when u look at Walmart compatibility charts.
So here i am at 18 yrs old and I'm a fish hobbyist. Already i think i have my mom addicted too, lol. Im just amazed how much you learn about them(and quickly). I feel way smarter then i did in high school.
Well i dont want to write a novel so I'll say buh bye. Good luck with everyone's tanks!

Hi snowyangel and welcome to the forum :flowers:

I hope you saved that bowl. It will make a great home for a betta, or perhaps a dwarf frog. (Or maybe one of each!)

Welcome! All of us here suffer from the same adiction. Wait till you have 9 tanks set up in a double wide trailer... 4 - 55 gallon, a 54 gallon, a 46 gallon, 2 - 10 gallons, and a 5 gallon, and I NEED more, more, more!
