Hello everyone, I am new to the site and fairly new to owning an aquarium. I have a 29 gal. with 2 blue grommies, one orange grommie, 2 small angel fish and 2 Red Clawed crabs. My first question would be is my tank overstocked? I know the grommies can grow quite big and I will have to get a bigger tank but right now am I alright? Im asking because sometimes my grommies swim very erratically to the point sometimes where they hit the side of the tank hard. The tank is at about 75 deg. Also I was told grommies are very agressive and I shouldnt have smaller fish with them because they will eat the smaller ones...Is this true? I also read if you have two different species of grommies they wont mess with smaller fish. I will take ANY help I can.

Thank you for your time!
JP :)

Welcome! Though I am not familiar with keeping Gouramis I do know some are known to be pretty aggressive, as are Angelfish. I am unsure of their compatibility, however I am sure someone else with more experience on the topic will respond soon enough. In my opinion, you should never keep a fish in a temporary tank. So many times people say they will get a bigger tank as the fish grows, but personally I feel it is best to be prepared from the start! Too small of a tank can lead to numerous problems for you and your fish. In general, the best advice I can give you is to get a water testing kit, the stips are terrible. Good luck to you!
