Fellow livebearer fans. I have lots of fish but i always want more. I was wondering if you knew of any new or exotic colors or strains of livebearers that i might could get ahold of or watch for so i could get ahold of them lately.
Right now I have
Swords: Pineapple, red velvet, tuxedo, green, sunset Mollies i have Orange, creamsicle, Black, tricolor, marble dalmation and sailfins.
Gupps i just have a flashy male i don't know his strain i bought them all at the Lfs i really need to improve my genetics. as far as gupps go. I don't have any platys but would like to know of the types.

Personally I'd love some Hi Fin Lyretail Swordtails, or just some Hi Fin Swordies and some Topsail Platies. I also saw some green marble swordtails at fish2u.com that looked interesting.

I'm also trying to get some good black swordtails. I've been in love with them since back in the '70's. I have one black male right now but can't find any more locally. I would love to breed blacks again...

I've seen some cool gups at my Lfs. i like leopard or snakeskins, and I've seen some amazing blue lyretail ones. Endler are cool, but some people would say to keep them away from your gups to avoid diluting the endlers.
When I think of platies, the first one that comes to mind are the Micky mouse Platies, but I haven't owned platies yet.

Not that they would go in your tank, but if i had the space I'd be looking for four eyed livebearers. (Anableps anableps)

I like trying to breed my own versions of certain strains of guppies, like snakeskins for example. Its more fun trying to figure out how the strain was originally developed (at least in my opinion).

There are tons of species of livebearing fish, and many of them are pretty easily found. I want to try pike livebearers but I don't have any free tanks for them right now. I just found some mosquito fish (a north american livebearer from Florida and coastal regions), I think its more fun to try to breed less known livebearers because then you can brag about breeding fish that other people don't know about.
