I am getting a new 75g tank and I want to buy lighting for a fw community planted tank. Is ebay the cheepest and best place? Are there any good online stores with good lighting prices?

Thanks

Is this a good light? and a good deal? I am very nervous about buying something so important on ebay without getting to see and touch it...

i also have a 75g african cichlid tank. it is not planted. i run 2 single bulb 40W strips.

now i also have a 120g, and it is heavily planted. community tank. i run a coralife 48" power compact fixture with 4 65W bulbs. on the 120g i also run one of the single bulb 48" 40W strips. very awesome lighting. i suggest for you to try to look for and possible buy a coralife power compact fixture with the 4 65W bulbs. if u can not find one. i also run a coralife power compact on a heavily planted wild bluegill 55g tank. it and onlys has 2 65w bulbs. again, great lighting. but if thats the only thing u can find u might want to add an aditional single 40W 48" strip. pretty much any light fixture with 120w-260w will work wonders.

hope this helps.

Yes on my 55g I have two 65w fixtures and two other fixtures that have two t5 14w bulbs each, they are coralife and i really like them; they did cost me 350$ though for all 4 fixtures. How do you feel Jebo compares with coralife?

i've acually never seen any JEBO's around. i cant really say anything about them. now is the bulb it self the width of the ttank? the coralife 180w pc's have 2 bulbs that run into eachothe rin the middle. thats what i run on both of my 55s. in the pics it looks like the bulbs them selves are the width of the tanks. the coralife 280w pc's.i think there 280's.. well yea they use 4 65's like i stated above. with 2 cooling fans. and i added my own 2 extra cooling fans on the opposite end for more air movement. with to pushin and 2 pulling hey do help.

so back to the JEBO. yea i really have no experience with this brand of lighting. its pretty much up to you, what company u want to use for lighting. im not telling u that you should use coralife. im just saying i know they are good quality. i curently have a 280W saltwater PC retrofit 48" forsale on AB which is brand new. so yea if u really like the JEBO then go for it. im just wondering if the 2 smaller 65W bulbs would be better then the 2 bulbs in the JEBO. im just wondering about that.

well hope this helps a bit.
