The other day i set up my new 55 gal and am not sure of what to put into it.:dunno: i want something bigger and that can get along with my two gouramis and eels :peacock and bichir. I was thinking maybe 3or so african brown knifes or like a shovel nose. what do you think i should put in it?

Dito - a pair of blue rams would be good!

P.S. - I notice you've got a CAE in with your fry. Do they get on alright? I've got a CAE in with my guppies and when they give birth i'm worried my CAE will eat the fry.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Get a shoal of angels!! and send pics on the forum!! I've always wanted a shoal of angels! That would look gorgeous. Marbled, silvers, half blacks...the lot!!
There would be soooooo most colour in your tank then like blues and silvers and yellows etc...look gorgeous!

How about a midas? They get big and are sociable I here. But I'm not sure about how they may get along with other kinds off fish. Or there are severums or maybe discus.

No cichlids Midas are very aggressive (I've heard of them killing oscars that are bigger then them), i want a preditory fish that will get along with full grown gouramis and bicir eel

Well it wouldn't matter how many you got because once a pair is formed the other ones would need to be return to pet store. How about black widow tetras?
