I'm part of a local forum and when i told them what i wanted to put in it, i got royally slammed. I listen but i don't want to deal with negative comments - just positive suggestions. So i come to the friendly Tropical Fish Forums for a little help.
I'm not jumping into this. It still needs to finish cycling so i got some time.
I have on order 4 Demasoni and i really really like thembut if i must i can cancell the order, i also like shelly's so i need to decide what area of africa i'm going to go with Mbuna or Tangyanika...i wanted flamebacks but there weren't a ton of other fish from Lake Victoria i was too interested so i nixed that one.
Here's a list of fish that i can order and they'll come in at just the right time.

4 Altolamprologus compressiceps 2-3 in
2 Altolamprologus Calvus black- 2 in
Lamprologus Brevis Katabe .75- 1 in
Frontosa Burundi !.5- 2 in
Lepidiolamprologus Hecqui .75-1 in
Julidochromis Marlieri .75- 1 in
3 Neolamprologus Helianthus 1- 1.5 in
Neolamprologus Pulcher dafodil .75- 1 in
3 Pundamilia Nyererei Flameback males 2-3 in

Cynotilapia Afra Lumbilia colony 2m 4 f
4 adult male Melanochromis Johanni
Melanochromis Cyaneorhabdos 1.5 in
pseudotropheus Demasoni 1-1.5 in
Pseudotropheus Socolofi 1- 1.5 in
Pseudotropheus Saulosi 1- 1.5 in
Thanks guys

I'm no expert on Tanganyikan's so i'll make a couple of comments on your Mbuna suggestions. Generally looks OK but 4 adult male Johanni would be a big aggression risk, better to get 1 male and 3 females.

If the Saulosi is a male, the Demasoni will not tolerate it due to the similar appearance, if its to be a female, then no problem. Also with the Demasoni's, make sure you get 1 male and 3 females as males will not tolerate their own kind and they are seriously aggressive fish.

Everything else looks pretty good. :)

this is just my opinion on the shell...you should take it out...ive had shells about that size...and one fish is still in one of the shells...i lost two fish to shells because i didnt learn my lesson...i knew they were in the shell because when rattled u heard there bodies floppin around...i managed to get one out but he was long dead...so thats just my opinion...i dont want u to have any dead fishies

Update - re-aquascaped the tank and decided on Malawi's

i'm getting 6 saulosi's, 3 socolofi's and 2 Polit's
Polits can be very aggressive toward their own kind and I really suggest going with a harem of them.

looks to me like you have a juvinile kenyi transitioning to it's male yellow color, a male johanni and tiny maingano. I thought you wanted socolofi's, polit's and saulosi's.
