Hi all got up this morining and opened my prezzies,The last thing i had was a 3ft bow front jewel tank.My question is if i get some angelfish about 1inch long would they be ok with my ember tetras? My ember tetras are about1/2 an inch.Would the embers grow to big for the angels mouth's?

Thankyou and MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!!!!!

hello yes im still here lol.The tank is a vision 180 bowfront.I think its about 44g but correct me if im wrong.

ya just get small angel fish so they can befriend ur tetras ,if u get big angel fish they could eat ur tetras rite away

There is no certainty that once the angel grows it won't snack on your tetras tho. Just be aware of the possibility :grr:

Rainbow fish are shoaling fish so best kept in groups. A few more would be good, just remember they can get quite big :)

cheers,At my lfs they sell red neon rainbows in pairs, would it be ok to get a different kind of rainbow?

sorry forgot to ask a question

Are rainbows hardy fish(tolerate different water conditions)
thanks!

Rainbows like hard water but I believe they are pretty hardy. Red Rainbows get to about 4 inches or so in length. I'm not sure if different kinds of rainbows will shoal. I think my preference would be to go for maybe 4 rainbows rather than a pair but it's up to you at the end of the day :) I just think they look nicer when they all swim in a larger group.
Since you're looking to stock larger fish you might want to reconsider the ember tetras and go with some slightly larger tetras. Cardinals or Emperor Tetras might be more suitable since they are less likely to be eaten :)

i have a 4 inch pictus catfish and his mouth is hugeeeeee lol.I will probably get longfin rosy barbs and congo tetras and probably some angels :shifty:
