new 29g tank

hey everyone.... im just tring to think about what kind of fish to put in my new tropical tank...it's 29g..i do have 2 pearl gouramis and one dwarf gouramis that will be going in it...i was thinking of a couple silver dollars ..or maybe a couple discus... what do u guys think just lookin for ideas..... i am into quite colourful fish. thankx

I think the Silver Dollars will get too big for your tank...and I heard Discus had to be kept in tank at least 55gal.
I'll find some colorful fish for you though...you wanted big colourful fish right?

Ahh.. Guppylover was correct, Silver Dollars are too big, and Discus really should be in a larger tank. Also, discus need perfecto water, and thats harder to achieve with smaller sized tanks with large fish in them.

Anyways.. Im not quite sure if a gourami will go well with angels, but if your tank is atleast 18' high, then it would be perfect for a few angels. There are so many different types and colors.

If you DONT go with angelfish, a nice school of neon tetras or cardinal tetras would look gorgeous. I think that 15 or so would do nice in a 29 gallon tank, with frequent water changes. But if you want alot of other kinds of fish, I suggest cutting that number down alittle.

Hmm.. lets think.. hmm.. Corys are cute, and you could put a few in there. Hmm.. basically the only nice things I can think of are neons and most definately angels. I'd go for a few angels.

thankx for the reply..ya i thought that discus would get too big for it...one of my friends that knows lots about fish sugusted silver dollars..but i want something more colourful and yes..grows to some extent..lol

Do not get a paradise gourami, they are eye stealers. Get some tetras or mollies.
