New 12gl Aquapod Help!

I am starting my first nano tank and I picked up a 12gl Aquapod, was this a good choice? I have some Questions as I'm new to nano reefs. The tank comes with four chambers in the back. On one side I have the water pump (160gph) and the heater. That leaves me with 3 open chambers. They are meant to have a foam block in one, carbon/ceramic media in one and bio-balls in one. I am under the impression not all of these media types should go in the chambers for a reef set-up. The instructions that came with the tank says to only have the foam block in the first chamber and thats it. So is this correct or what should be the best use of these chambers?

In short, what is the best way to set up the chambers?

I'd use foam in one chamber, and use carbon/rowaphos in the other.

I have the 24g two chamber version and use a fiber filter replaced weekly and a combination carbon/rowaphos in a mesh bag. I pitched the bio-balls and foam after reading steelhealr's 24g log at: http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=84931
