New 125 Litre Set Up

Looks great hun, well done you.

liking the bit of wood as a centre piece. :good:

thanks guys, have kept a tank prebiously but unfortunately due to reasons lost interest.

ooh. 1 more thing. After your tank has matured a while id suggest a pair of bolivian rams. I dont even know what type of fish you are getting or like but they are a personal favourite of mine and i just thought id mention them

hey mickspark81, any chance of you looking whether I have male and female rams? http://s142.photobucket.com/albums/r81/mbs...=fishystars.flv

first one in video is male. The other I'm 75% sure is female as the vent doesn't seem to taper like the male's. When they first went in the tank they did some mouth grappling (which I have since read is a sign of courtship with Cichlids). I'm guessing the female won because she dominates the male in the tank territory wise. I have added a terracotta saucer and cleared some room and taken temp upto 28C..

Looks like a male and female to me but they arnt very old yet and are sometimes difficult to sex. Tbh tho. They look pretty much identicle to the pair i have who just so you know display the same behaviour traits as you mentioned :good:

Once they get to around 8 - 10 months old they should be sexually mature and hopefully they will breed.

You tend to know a pair of rams as most of the time they swim around together but say at feeding time one dominates the other. Really great to watch and i wish you all the luck
