Well my Ap Biology teacher is interested in breeding fishes as part of a class project. But she wants to breed this fish that I never herd of. Its called madoca. Its weird because I have many books on fishes and encyclopedias and cant find it. I am in charge of helping her with this project since I am experience in fish breeding and have several years of experience myself. So I am hoping you guys can help me out on identifying this fish i never herd of. Its called Madoca(not sure on the pronunciation).

I think you mean Medaka Oryzias latipes
the only fish to have been into outerspace

tell me how do you do water changes in space? lol jk im just bieng stupid.

it also has gone into space aboard the space shuttle. It carries the distinction of having been the first vertebrate to mate in orbit. The result of the mating was a brood of healthy fry, hatched on the space shuttle Columbia in 1994.

Thank you so much guys. That is the fish I was talking about. I guess I spelled it wrong. From what I herd the medaka can easily breed is this true? Also in relation to the medaka being sent to space, didn't Hikari work with NASA on sending fishes into space?

Yep, I have heard of that before!

So can any of you guys give me some information on this fish. I would also like to know if it is the same fish as the Japanese Killifish?

I wouldn't mind keeping some myself but I haven't found anyone who actually sells them anymore.
