Nesting

k, normally my bettas dont do this but yeh, my one is constantly makeing a nest, and i have no idea why? all i did was put him in a bigger bowl (while he awaits his transfer into the aquarium) and put a lamp on the both of them. my other betta doesnt seem to do any of this and his water stays cleaner for longer periods of time then the other bettas does???.... does this just mean the one who is makeing nests is happy?

Apart from building nests ready for breeding, Bettas tend to build them when they are feeling secure in their environment. So you could say you have a happy Betta!

I have had a mass clean out and almost all of my boys are making nests. If they are old or ill they don't tend to do that...or lazy I suppose
