i was gone the whole weekend seeing family friends for thanks giving i came home all my fish where acting like they were in shock and my neons were faded to white, i turned on the tank light and started talking to them saying i missed them etc... i know im weird  i walked away for about two minutes came back and my fish were swimming around happy and my neons where back to being there normal colour ( weird -_- ) i think talking to your fish really make them happy don't you!!!

My cardinals are faded every morning.....takes like 30 secs for them to come back.

I have had this happen with my neons too!

Although just to warn you, do keep an eye on it, if any of them go white for longer periods of time it could be a sign of stress or disease. I lost two neons during the summer heatwave when my tank got too hot and one of the first signs that they weren't happy was when the blue stripe at the back slowly faded to white.... although this happened to a third neon and I managed to nurse him back to health so it's not irreversible!

Yes my cardinals also have less color in the morning...however like said also could be signs of stress. Either way keep an eye on them also don't forget lfs stores feed them color enchancing food ;)

Tetras tend to do that I suppose. My tetras are a tad white when I turn on the light in the morning too. Alot of fish are also sluggish and kinda confused. Its like me waking up in the morning

My black skirts fade sometimes.. I think its usually when I do a water change or am messing with the tank. Maybe its stress thing?
