i have got 7 black mollies and 5 neon the mollies has had lots of frys
and the neon has had none any help on how i can persude them to have fry
or is it i aint got the right stuff i have got 3 fake plants in and gravel any ideas how i can
help them to have fry

Neon tetras are egglaying fish not livebearing ones, so don't give birth to live fully developed fry like mollys do, the other thing is that no egg laying fish is as easy as livebearers- check out Lateral Line's reply in this link/thread on breeding tiger barbs, they are pretty much the same as neon tetras when it comes to breeding them;

Neons are said to be fairly difficult even as egglaying fish go. They need soft acidic water, careful conditioning, a special spawning tank, the eggs need to be kept dark etc. The age of the parents may also have a part to play. It's just not something that's going to happen by chance in your community tank.
