Dunno, I haven't tried keeping any tetras with my mbuna but I am not going to put any neons into my mbuna tank. I'd think they would turn into a meal pretty quickly! I saw frys of mbuna - about the size of neon - getting eaten by a fully grown one before, so I don't see how thhose neons could live comfortably in that environment...
