Hello,
I was wondering.... is it possible for a fish to be frightened to death?
Funny question I know, but I bought 5 neons last night to add to my 75 gallon along with some Mollies but I guess the neons are too small because the bigger Mollies thought this was a treat and they started chasing the poor neons - nipping at their tales.... after a while (maybe an hour or so), I then decided to take them out of the big tank and put them in my 10 gallon with baby mollies.... but since then, 3 of 5 have died. I was thinking with all the stimulation of being caught in the store, then being chased around my tank, then caught again, put in another tank... was it all just too stressful you think? I feel really bad for the poor little guys...
I don't think it could be my water quality or anything like that - I mean, they wouldn't die the same night would they because of water conditions? I did a water change before adding them in the tank and made sure there was no ammonia present by doing a test....
Anyway, let me know your thoughts on this....
Thanks!
