Neon Tetras =)

I bought 10 neon tetras about 4 days ago from a private breeder, they were so tiny, about .5 inches each one. One died 2nd day of having it beacuse I forgot and left the light on for atleast 20+ hours and they stressed and started nipping each other, to the point where all the tetras were pretty injured, and one died, but the rest are fine now.
But I realized what I feed them made them so big already! They've doubled in size!
Should I worry?

Each are about 1 inch now, when 4 days ago they were .5 inch each!

I make home made fish food, I mix in some veggies, fruits, agar, ect

double size in 4 days? i've never heard of anything like that. and homemade fish food? i dont really think its something you should go with

Well, the only thing that I can really gather is that it could be from the food that you're feeding them, but I HIGHLY doubt it. Neons are mostly carniverous fish and they really enjoy freeze dried or live animals such as brine shrimp, blood worms, mosquito larvae, blackworms, etc.

What size tank do you have? and what the heck are you feeding them!!
