Neon Tetras

Just wondering if any of you folks know just what the average lifespan of a neon tetra is.. Are there any good web pages out there that give lifespans of fish? My first fish a solo neon tetra (bought one to start the cycle) is startin to get decrepit looking and hanging out on the bottom of the tank, while all the other fish are swiming circles around him. Water conditions in my tank are perfict as far as i can test(ph, ammonia,nitrates). the other neons are huge and happy. I would hate to lose my first fish but he looks kind of silly crawling around the bottom with a walking stick.

Here's a page with lifespans on it. I really don't know how accurate it is, but the 3 - 5 years for small tetras matches what I've read elsewhere.
