Neon Tetras Dying

Originally had about 16 in my aquarium and slowly over the last 8 months they have been dying. I can tell which one is about to die as the colour fades and instead of the fish being straight from head to tail it takes on a sort of crooked look. Any ideas what might be going on?

This sounds like Neon Tetra Disease (Pleistophora hyphessobryconis) to me Unfortunately there is no known cure for it.
The best thing to do is to separate the infected ones and euthanize them

Wow that sounds like it could be it!! Worried now because I have other fish in the tank, can they become infected and also die? Sincerely hope not!!

Im not entirely sure but I would say no considering it is a Neon Tetra disease...but to be safe I would probably remove them from the tank
