i know neons like a mature tank,
we moved our tank to our new house so the filter is mature but its all fresh water.
so is it to soon to get them or should we wait?

I would wait a couple of months just to be on the safe side.

If your filter is mature , as you say it is, and you used de-chlorinated water then all should be fine adding the neons right away.
Just coz the tank's in a new house makes no difference at all.

I'm assuming that you kept the filter media wet at all times with tank water during the move.

I added 8 neons to my tank 3 days after using de-chlorinated water with a new tank, mature filter, new gravel and deco, no plants and every one of them survived

this was before i learned about cycling, but months is rather long to wait, just test your levels often and perform water changes if anything spikes
