Hey guys, ive recently set up my first tank. Today i purchased 5 neons and 1 male guppie to add as the first fish. After introducing the neons to the tank, watching them swim around i've noticed one of them has a problem to its mouth. It looks almost as if the mouth is stuck open, and part of it to one side looks missing.

Any ideas if this is something i should be concerned about and treatment needed? Or am i just worrying about nothing.

All help appreciated.

anyone got any idea's? when i feed him, it looks like he takes in the small flakes and just spits them back out. There is no size difference between all the neons

It could be mouth rot as there is often an inability to close the mouth if a fish has this. If it is mouth rot the chances of survival are really slim as it can't consume it's food properly.

Please provide a picture of the mouth so that an accurate diagnosis can be suggested.
