One of my neon tetra is swimming up and down, like this: | instead of this: [sup]__[/sup] It has a lot of cysts in its belly, and its back is crooked. All of it''s colors are still vibrant though, so I don't think that it is neon tetra disease. All of the other fish are fine. Please help!!!

Does not sound good.
Possible TB or fish tuberculosis, with the curved back.
Maybe cauliflower disease. Take a look here. Does that look similar at all?

hi,

Please explane; cysts in his belly. Could you elaborate on their origin. It is possible that the cysts are caursing him ballence problems. You could try flushing out his digestie system, as though you were treating consapation, to get the cysts moved.

I am not formilia with either of the condition that Fishkies has highlighted, so I would recomend researching them also, to identify/rule-out these conditions.

The fish isn't getting any changes in color, the only symptoms that I can see are the bloated stomach, and swimming vertically.

Yeah all he would have done is infect the others. WIth neons, they naturally die annually in droves in the wild, so only the absolutely strongest survive, which is their way of making sure they have prime genes past on. Therefore many neons will get sick and if they do, many little neons bodies aren't equiped to fight off major infections, so when Neons get extremely sick, I think that its always a good idea to euthanize them, or at the very least isolate them.

You didn't flush it alive hopefully.
