Two of my tetra's have a big white spot on their tail, its red color has completely faded were the white patch is, the fish seem to be swimming about and still shoal with the other fish happily.

It looks sort of like an ulcer of some sort, but im a bit in the dark when it comes to fish health care. I was told it could be some sort of fungal infection?

Any help would be much appreciated

Tanks overstocked.

I would tell her to take the clown loach back to the lfs as the tanks way to small. They need 90 gallon tanks.
Also they shouldn't be kept in less than a group of 3.

Take a sample of your water to the lfs and ask them to write the readings down for you.

Bleached out red stripe can be due to bad water quality, stress, neon tetra desease. But it sounds like the fading of the red stripe area might be due to bad water quality.

The spots on the tail I had a black neon with the samething, but I couldn't cure it.
Is the spot raised.
Does the spot look like its filled with fluid.
Any red or pink areas to the spot.
Does the spot resemble a cauliflower.

For now water change and increase aeration in the tank.

Yea she’s getting something arranged for the clown loach, taking it to a local tropical fish store near us that specializes in taking larger fish. Also the Guppies, she is giving to a friend that has 1 to be very lucky male guppie

It’s a little annoying because when she first got the tank no one told her anything about the size and how quickly the clown loaches grow. Beginner’s mistakes I presume

Yea the white spot is raised on both tetra. Don’t want it giving it to the other fish if it’s contagious so to speak, you think we should isolate the two that have these symptoms?

Quarantine the two fish, but chances are you'll have to treat the entire tank and the fish. IMO, it's not right (ethical) to be giving potentially sick fish to other people.

Wilder will have the answers though. . . ;)

Keep a look out for ntd signs.

I would issolate and use a bacterial med. If you can't issolate add the med to the whole tank.
You will need a bacterial med.
