Hi All,

I think I have the dreaded Neon Tetra disease. I've lost about 5 of my Cardinals at this stage. Can it affect Cardinals?

I know there is no known cure but will extra aeration (air pump running) and small but frequent water changes help? I've also taken the Cardinals out when I first spot they have it (discolouration).
I've had Ich in the past and treated using some of the steps above and increasing the temp in the tank.

It's my own fault I picked up some Cardinals from a tank where I suspect one in it had the disease (it was visibly clear). The excitement of adding more fish got the better of me. Harsh lesson learned from this :(

Tank Details: 60 litre. Up and running over 3 years. Water changes weekly - 30%.

Thanks for any help or guidance.

Cardinals don't get ntd. Unless there been kept with neons, then not sure.

Need to look at your stocking please.
Also water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
The make of the test kit you are using.

What symtoms are the fish showing?
