are neon tetra less likely to be interested in other fish if there are 6 or more of them, as i know they can be fin nippers and wondered if bigger groups solved this as I know tetra seem very fixated in their own company sometimes?!

can't say i've ever seen my tetras be aggresive towards any other fish in the tank...

mine aren't really aggressive.....they go for each othre but don't take any damage....and i've seen them take a couple of pot shots at my male betta, but again....they don't do him any damage and he isn't depressed or stressed or hiding or anything.....just wondered if maybe getting another couple would equal worse or better behaviour :)

More tetras in theory should spread out their agression, but you really never know I suppose. I'd say it'd be worth a try at least.

God Bless,
Joshua

yeah for the most part mine amuse themselves by staring at nothing and occaisionally chasing each other in sudden darting swirly movements.....bizzarre fish!
Sometimes they spin me out more then my zebra danios....and they are mental! :good:
