Neon Losing Colour!

i looked at my neons and one looks healthy but the other two the red is fading. what does this mean?

stress, food any advice will help

Need more info first.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.

The color of a Neon Tetra fades during the night, ( Thought not dramatically), and also fades during periods of stress, such as Human intervention in the tank. Got info from this website: http/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neon_tetra.

thanks i put some food in my tank and the red fading has gone, back to normal. they must of been stressed from lack of food. its because a have a fat balloon mollies eating it all. I'll probably put a cucumber in there, so they have a chance
