Hi i have a 60L tank with 10 neons , 3 yamoto shrimp and a siameese fighter. My problem is this....My neons dont school they swim about doing there own thing, Everything looks fine and the water is ok. Is this normal........Thanks

If Tetras are comfertable with there surroudings the swim wherever they want, its only when they feel threatened and scared they swim together for security.

How do they get along with the betta?

Thanks...They get on fine so far ( betta been in the tank for 1 week) i have not noticed any aggressive activity by eather fish...

Mine don't swim together either. I was really disappointed at first, I wanted to see them move as one like synchronised swimmers

I've also been disappointed by my neons lack of cohesiveness. When they DO school, they are so pretty, but they tend to stick together pretty loosely at best. I wonder if they would school more tightly in a bigger tank w/a bigger shoal of them (i have (had i should say, a few have died) 10 of them in a 30 gallon).
