is it alright to feed them frozen bloodworms as their staple diet? ..or do i need to use flakes also

I think you would want to give it more variety than just blood worms. Feed tubafix, dalphinea, mosquito larvae, ect and that would be a good diet. I reccommend feeding flakes in the morrning and frozen foods in the evening.

Frozen bloodworms often carry diseases. They are one of the most unreliable frozen foods. However, some manufacturers, do make good quality BW.
