Neocaridina Shrimp in 5 Gallon?

Hi. I have 3 Neocaridina Shrimp that I want to move to a 5 gallon on their own. My question is, will the population self-regulate for the size/resources of the tank? There will be no predators in there.
 
Yes, particularly if there are plenty of live plants and are fed sparingly (mine get supplemented about twice a week, the rest of the time they constantly find plenty of natural foods in the tank).
 
Yes, there will never be more than can be supported. The important part is that they are active and multiply.

With a little supplements, you can have a good colony with nearly no maintenance.
 
Just note that an established, mature tank is necessary for cherry shrimp to thrive. Sorry if you're already aware, others reading this may not be.
