Okay. SO. I put my red female in the compartment in the 5-gallon today that is currenty empty. She was fine.... But then I come upstairs at around 10 o'clock pm and OMG she
Was lying in the corner of libra's compartment while he flared and scared her!! :( I literally FLEW downstairs to get my net and rescued her. I scooped up her and some water from the tank in one of those little tiny petsmart betta cups. I put in some gravel and a sprig of plant and places the lid on top.

Now, the only 2 injuries she has are a large bite mark on her back and some slightly torn fins. I'm more worried about her back. I put two small drops of bettafix in the cup's water, and fed her 4 or 5 freeze-dried bloodworms. Now, other than her being in the cup (which will not be forever, just until I can get my mom to help me with putting her in a 1gal bucket we use for w/c's), am I doing it right so far? I desprrately want her to heal. Sorry fir the writing; I'm on an iPod and typing fast. What could I do to help her? Thanks. ^^; :)

First I would figure out how she crossed the divider. Is it still intact? I would assume she jumped if it is and lower the water level so it can't happen again. Next, I would put her back in the tank, because it'll be easier for you to keep the water clean in the bigger tank. Is it filtered? I've had bettas get injured before and they've all survived fine, they just need very clean water to keep from getting an infection. I usually just put a little aquarium salt in as well to help with the healing, but unless she starts getting an infection I wouldn't do too much and stress her out, just watch her very carefully.

Thanks. I placed her back inthe divided section if the tank. She's by the divider on her side and Libra is flaring like a nutso face. yeah it's filtered. Thanks. ^^; :D

Also I doubt she jumped; the divider goes like 4/5 in abovethe waterline even when the tank is full; I think she slithered cause there's a teeny gap between the tank sides. One day I might empty the tank and silicone it on plae. Think she's learned her lesson though. ^^; :)

Hmmm well if you think she squeezed through I would try to figure something out asap, because the male might try to get through to her side.
