Need Urgent Help

Hi

I have 8 male guppies, 6 neons and 5 lipsticks barb and a sucker fish. Since i added two loachs all the guppies tails look like they have been biten at and also a dead guppy belly has been eaten!

Was it the loaches?

What size tank have you got?
What type of loacges have you got?
I doubt that it's the loaches as they are generally very peaceful fish. Neons can be very nippy and male Guppies can nip at each other if they haven't got enough room and plenty of hiding places.

Its a 60L tank!
Not sure what loachs i have, they are little and black.
I orginally had 3 guppies than added another 5, do you thinks them attacking each other? how come before when fish have died there bodies have not been eaten?

Your tank works out at about 15 gallons and I'm afraid it's overstocked.
It sounds as though it could be your Guppies as they have no room to get away from each other and could be getting a little aggressive.
You might be best rehoming the Guppies as the fin nipping is liable to carry on.

Lots of things can influence that behavior. If your tank is warm because of the weather, your fish are ravenously hungry and will pick at dead fish, where the wouldn't otherwise do that.

I'm not sure what kind of loach you have, but it's possible that it's not a loach at all, and in fact something that's aggressive.

If the tank is to small the loaches or predator{s} might want more room or territory.

For every gallon u have u should have an inch of fish. So if you had a 29 gallon u couldnt have more then 29 inches of fish in there. I go abt 4-5 inches more then. ive been told though. it could be barbs! they are semi aggresive fish!!
