I'm gonna have to drain my main tank to fit the background I've bought. The fish can be housed in my 100l for the night. The filter is one of these massive built in Juwel filters which won't fit in the small tank. If I just tank out the media and place it in the small tank will the bacteria survive for approx 24 hrs.

I'm replacing some of the sand subsrate at the same time.

I really don't want to have to cycle the tank again and the fish can't stay too long in the 100l as it really isn't big enough for them all.

take the filter pads out of the juwel and put them in a mesh bag and float them in the 100L flow

Yup got the sealant, just wot I've just used on the 100l, worked a treat.

Any tips for catching fish!!!!!

easy way to catch the fish is to lower ( i mean LOWER) the water level ^_^ sometimes they swim into the net but sometimes they dont!

your changing the substrate???

Yes putting new sand in as the old stuff is looking a bit grotty.

The fish catching was surprisingly easy. There all in the 100l looking a little pi**ed off.

Cheers Ash
