I have a 64 litre tank:

Photos of my aquarium

I originally introduced the following tropical fish:

5 Neon Tetra
1 Peppered Corydoras
1 Platy

The above have lived in the tank quite peacefully without any issues.

Yesterday I added 3 Guppies and two of them have been chasing the Platy around the tank.

I don't know whether they are just playing and the Platy doesn't mind. What I don't want is for the Platy to be stressed out.

I've watched carefully and the Guppies don't seem to be nipping the Platy so it might be harmless fun.
Is this cause for concern and if so what should be done? I only have the one tank so can't segregate them.

This is odd - when guppies chase something, it's usually because they are always horny and in the absence of female guppies they will court any female livebearer in the tank. But that platy is a male. (I'm assuming the guppies are male?)

Does the platy swim away fast like he's trying to get away from them?

Yes the Guppy is trying to swim away from them all the time.

I finally segregated the two troublesome Guppies:

Segregated the Guppies

We were out most of the day visiting friends and on returning discovered they had escaped through the netting.

I then had the remove them from the tank itself.

We're returning them back to the pet shop today.
